Jeju - World Cup Stadium

Jeju World Cup Stadium is near Seogwipo Intercity Bus Terminal. If you are a fan of soccer, you will definitely want to visit the stadium. 2002 FIFA WORLD CUP was held at Jeju World Cup Stadium located on Jeju Island. Jeju World Cup Stadium was designed in the shape of the mouth of a volcano and its roof in the shape of nets of traditional fishing boats in Jeju. The stadium was built 14m below ground level to endure strong winds.

There's even an exercise area

Since there was no match going on, we were able to take a look around the stadium.

Awesome view of the stadium

It was very epic of us to spend almost half an hour trying to take a group jump shot with the stadium as the background. Our failed attempts, our spastic expressions, our hilarious poses.

I think this is the best group jump shot taken!

After many jump shots taken and none seemed to be as pretty as it should be, we headed off to visit other places, such as the cinema, the arcade (with a small noraebang inside), and the museum inside the stadium.

Despicable Me 2 was about to show in Korea at that time.

The small arcade

A very small cinema since not many people might want to go here to watch movie.

The 2002 Fifa World Cup Museum was a section inside the stadium to commemorate the first World Cup hosted in Asia. Inside the museum, you can learn everything about the World Cup games held in Japan and Korea. There are photos from the games, pictures/information about all the teams that participated and memorabilia of all the previous World Cup Events.

The life-sized photos of the players in 2002

Was surprised to see these 2 photos since they look like Running Man's Gwangsoo and B2ST's Dujun

There is also a World Eros Museum at basement or first floor inside the stadium. We didn't visit the museum, so I'm not sure what the museum is about. There are actually many of these museums around Jeju.
