Kissimmee - Old Town

On our last day in Orlando, we decided to travel to Old Town, which is an amusement park and outdoor shopping mall located in Kissimmee. We were probably too early there because not all the rides were working at that time.

The first shop we entered was Annie's Gift, where we spent some time inside to search for souvneirs. Previously, I've bought a baby panda at Animal Kingdom for US$25, but it was selling at US$18 in Old Town! It's exactly the same and with the Disneyland tag attached to it. Unable to resist the temptation, I decided to buy the baby goofy.

We stopped for a moment at Rootin & Tootan's Shootin Alley and played a game. We opted for the 18 shots and it was easy to aim the targets. Meet "Gater", the 1949 Talking International pickup truck! Make the chickens squawk, the cowboy boots walk, and the "Gater" talk! It's $2 a game or the best value 3 games for $5!

I really enjoy walking along Old Town. All the signboards and shop exterior designs were unique and pretty!

I saw these rides from far and decided to take a look at the price. I thought it was worth the money for the rides.

Slingshot: US$25 per person. It is so much cheaper than in Singapore.

Vomatron: US$20 per person. I decided to sit this because there isn't one like this in Singapore!

The Vomatron can best be described as a giant propeller with seats on each end! Similar to the centrifuge used by astronauts to simulate rocket acceleration except it is mounted vertically. It is powered by 2 huge electric motors that rotate the giant 40, 50 or 60 meter arm at speeds of more than 120 kilometers per hour, throwing the capsules into extreme spins putting 4gs of force upon its unwary passages. Then just as I thought it is all over... They spin it in reverse with the same degree of pure torture as before.

I was supposed to sit it alone but...

The guy in-charged of the Slingshot sat with me!

There will be photos taken every time we pass by the ground.

After daddy saw how much fun I had, he wanted to take the ride and I went for the second time!

We bought the package after seeing the photos taken. So it was like US$20 (my 1st ride) + US$60 (with Daddy) = US$80. And we had the USB wristband with all the photos inside, plus two Vomatron t-shirts!

It is definitely a ride you won't want to miss it if you see one anywhere in USA! You have to go for it if you're not afraid of heights! Here's the website to know more about the rides.
